Studio 2.8, Westlake Park Seattle, September 29, 2019, An Immature and Confused Counter Protester

This Studio 2.8 photography photograph, and its associated GoPro action cam shoulder mount perspective video clip, was produced on Sunday September 29, 2019 at downtown Seattle's Westlake Park where a scant three counter-protesters occupied the official counter-protest area setup by the Seattle Police Department for their use. The confused and immature counter-protester in this Studio 2.8 photography had misguidedly convinced himself that Studio 2.8 works for a political media group called InfoWars. The InfoWars political media group is not one of Studio 2.8's various photography licensing clients.

The confused political counter-protester in this Studio 2.8 photograph also had the misguided notion that journalists aren't "media", aren't "real", without a "press pass" dangling from their neck. In fact, the notion of a "press pass" is a fiction created by a variety of professional photography member associations to lend a completely unnecessary air of legitimacy to photographic press when no such official entity exists, and by private organizations that implement selective media censorship and discrimation by limiting media access to their private property on an invitation only basis. The "press", the media, whether photographic, videographic, or the written word, is a state and federal constitutionally protected activity. As a constitutionally protected activity, freedom of the press should no more involve any kind of license, "pass" or "credential" of any kind, than political protesters such as the misguided man in this photograph might otherwise be required or expected by anyone to carry a "protester pass" representing a license to exercise constitutionally protected speech.

The political strife that currently divides the United States has reached a fever pitch in which some misguided people declare that any media/press that they merely "think" they disagree with isn't press/media, and its journalists aren't legitimate journalists. In the minds of such misguided people, what such such people convince themselves they disagree, is simply declared invalid, a "joke", no longer legitmate, and readily dismissed. Such behavior is in fact an extreme and immature psychosocial defense mechanism that enables the immature to simply block out all they don't believe fits their political mold. It is a not very adult form of defense mechanism analogous to children who cover their ears and sing "la la la la la" in vain hoping what they've tried to shut out won't exist any longer.
